Introducing Chiropractor Dr. Steven Loniewski, DC, CCSP

The science of Chiropractic has always fascinated me; to realize that the human body has the power to heal itself is amazing.  My need to educate the community and help people achieve optimum health drew me closer into the field of chiropractic.

I achieved my undergraduate degree from Purdue University, Indiana in Sports Science. It was at Purdue that I made my decision to pursue my dream of being a chiropractor.  I went on to attend and graduate with honors from New York Chiropractic College.   I further expanded my knowledge in health and fitness by obtaining an Advanced Degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP).

After graduation, I accepted an offer to work in Virginia with another Chiropractor, but at the last minute there was a situation which changed the plan.  Luckily, I realized that it was New Jersey, my “home” where I wanted to build my practice and make a difference in the lives of the people in my community. I have never regretted not practicing in Virginia and every time I hear how I have made a difference in a patient’s life, I am so glad that I am in New Jersey!

I grew up in Middletown, NJ and graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar School and Mater Dei High School, of New Monmouth.  I am happily married to my wife Amy, we have three beautiful children.

Taking care of my health has always been important to me. I exercise regularly and follow a healthy eating program. Through our extreme health makeover program called Living Well For Life, we are truly able to impact our patients lives.

Chiropractic is not only my profession – it is part of my lifestyle.  As a matter of fact, I have a Chiropractor too!  I get adjusted regularly, which explains why I am always at my best. I remain committed to helping my patients. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than helping families in the community live healthy and full filled lives.

What can a chiropractor do for asthma?
Many people think of chiropractic as exclusively dealing with the spine. But I'm interested in the spine because it covers the nervous system. Problems in the spine can produce problems in the organs and tissues controlled by the affected nerves—including those to the lungs and bronchial tubes. Find out how chiropractic care has helped those with asthma.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
